A fake flat diorama
In this fake flat diorama, thickless and extruded planes are mixed to present a totally 2D scene when audiences look at it from a distance. With the fixed angle camera moving forward, the experience starts to be immersive - planes passing by, audiences can notice not all “planes” are real planes. Meanwhile, the malposition is disclosed - all “planes” are set discretely instead of as a whole. The 2D aesthetic embedded in repetitive textures is inherited to the container of these textures - the diorama.
